Henrik Bringsøe, b. 1960 Has travelled in China (Hong Kong), Costa Rica, Denmark, France, French Guiana, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Ivory Coast, Japan, Laos, Malaysia (Borneo), Nigeria, Portugal, Seychelles, Spain, Thailand, Togo, USA (California, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia). Interested in all aspects of herpetology, mainly field herpetology. Has published a wide variety of papers, especially of semi-popular contents, but also a number of scientific papers. Co-author of the major German book series of reptiles and amphibians of Europe, "Handbuch der Reptilien und Amphibien Europas" (accounts on Podarcis peloponnesiaca, Testudo marginata, and Trachemys scripta). Was active in Nordisk Herpetologisk Forening (Nordic Herpetological Society) for a long period, i.e. chairman 1989-1999, editor of the society's bimonthly periodical 1991-2007, honorary member from 2007. Equipment: Canon EOS 30D and various original Canon lenses (EF-S 60mm macro f/2.8, EF 70-200mm f/2.8, EF 400mm DO f/4.0, extender EF 2x, and previously other lenses) and Sigma lenses (AF 15mm f/2.8, AF 24 mm f/1.8).
